Welcome!

Hello and Welcome to the new HeavenlyImage Photography blog! My name is Catherine Leung and I am the Photographer & Digital Artist at HeavenlyImage.

HeavenlyImage Photography Studio is based in north-west Sydney, Australia. We specialise in Glamour Photography inspired by Old Hollywood Glamour. I work closely with a hand picked team of Australia's top Makeup Artists' and Hairstylists to create stunning Glamour Photography.

I also have the amazing privelidge of shooting special events and seasons in peoples' lives such as
pregnancy, newborns, babies, kids, families, birthdays, anniversaries, baptism, baby dedication, communion, engagement and weddings.

Sleeping Ruby

Saturday 17th October, 2009

Today we travelled to the Sutherland Shire to do some newborn photos of the three week old little bundle of joy (aka) Ruby. With much patience and persistence by Lisa (Ruby’s mum) and I, we were finally given a very brief moment of about 2 minutes where Ruby fell alseep. This was our total shooting time – 2 minutes!! Thank God we managed to get some amazing photographs! Phew!!

Boudoir

Friday 16th October, 2009

Today we had the pleasure of doing a glamour photo shoot of Kylie, who was after some sensual photos for her partner. It is always fun giving someone the full Glamour experience, and after Kylie’s professional Make over and hairstyling she certainly looked glamourous! We started off the shoot with some casual shots and worked our way up to the boudoir photos. We think you look amazing Kylie, and we’re sure he’s going to think so too!!

Ruby Lips – Baby Photography/ Newborn Photography

Wednesday 7th October 2009

Today I had the pleasure of photographing the awaited Miss Ruby. This was her second photo shoot, the first being whilst she was still in her mums tum. I photographed Lisa when she was 37 weeks pregnant, and today got to meet her precious little bundle. Ruby didn’t quite cooperate with our plans – which was for her to fall asleep! In fact 4 hours later and she was still not asleep!! She is one serious social butterfly, its in the genes…

Beautiful Belly Baby!

Last Thursday my makeup artist and I did a Glamour Pregnancy Photo Shoot of Lisa in the studio. After Lisa’s Glamour Make-Over, we had her in various outfits and (sometimes challenging) poses!

We think she looks absolutely beautiful, and I’m sure hubby Matty agrees!

Saturday 22nd August 2009

Saturday morning saw my assistant and I shoot our first Greek Orthodox Wedding. Once the Bride & Groom had said their “I do’s”, we moved onto The Rocks for the location photography. With Chris’ wacky sense of humour and Fotini’s spirit of adventure, they were alot of fun to photograph! Fotini wowed her guests by bellydancing her way into their reception at Dolton House. The reception also featured a magic show! Here are some of my fav pics from the day…

(not often actually seen on the wedding day ironically!) The cool blue tone shot through the car windscreen and also the rear view mirror with the woodgrain dashboard particularly are brilliant! Beautiful work!

Saturday 11th July, 2009

On Saturday I was thrilled to do some baby photography for my very good friends Audrey & Sebastion’s. Olivia Faith was only 6 days old! What started out as a chilly winters morning soon heated up. Olivia was nude for most of the shoot so Seb had the heating pumped up to keep her nice and warm. Needless to say WE were very HOT! But it was all for a good cause. Amongst wee’s, poops and breast feeds we managed to get some great shots.

Morning in the Park

On Saturday morning we headed to the park for a shoot with Anita, Jo & Daniel (aka Daniel Spoon). What glorious weather for a winter’s day! We had them doing running races (which Daniel always won!), piggy backs, and Daniel’s favourite part – playing with the eels in the lake!
